Coaching

A conversation with a purpose.

Coaching is time set aside to look at what’s actually happening in your life — what’s helping, what’s getting in the way, and what might make it easier to do the things that matter to you.

You’re the expert on your own life. I bring coaching skills, questions, perspective, and what I know about ADHD and executive function. Together we notice patterns, find what already helps, look at possibilities, and try practical changes.

How I think about this work

Start with what's working

It's easier to build from something that already works than from a blank page. Before changing anything, we look at where things do go well for you — and what's different about those times.

Context matters

How you're doing isn't only about you. It's also about your environment, what's being asked of you, how you're sleeping, who's around, and the season of life you're in. People make sense in context.

Support can give you more room

Structure, reminders, tools and other people aren't a sign that something's wrong. Used well, they free up capacity for the things you actually want to spend it on.

Small experiments, not perfect systems

We try something, see what happens and adjust. When something doesn't work, that's information about how you work — not evidence that you failed.

What a session is like

There’s no fixed script, but most conversations move through something like this.

Where you're at

We start with where you are today — what's happened since we last spoke, what's on your mind, and what you'd like to use the time for.

The thing you brought

A decision, a project, a pattern that keeps repeating, a routine that isn't holding. We slow it down enough to look at it properly.

What you'll try

You decide what's worth experimenting with before the next conversation. Sometimes that's a change. Sometimes it's just paying attention to something.

What we might work on

Whatever is actually in front of you is a reasonable place to start.

  • Starting or finishing a project
  • Planning and prioritizing
  • Making a career or business decision
  • Creating realistic routines
  • Executive-function supports
  • Navigating a transition
  • Following through on something important
  • Understanding a pattern that keeps repeating
  • Finding the right amount of structure
  • Reducing what you're trying to hold in your head
  • Designing work around how you function best
  • Turning a big idea into something you can begin
  • Figuring out what actually matters right now

That’s a normal place to begin. The first conversation is free and there’s nothing to prepare — you can also read through the common questions first.
